What We're All About
KELLEY Investments is a wealth management firm designed for the new financial world. We provide personal attention and prudent advice with the reassuring safety of a strong institutional custodian.
We’re here to help people see their entire financial situation more clearly and direct them to make prudent decisions to ensure the life they enjoy today continues on.
Your voice of reason
We humans are emotional, impulsive beings when it comes to our finances.
Take buying high, selling low, and all the other irrational investment choices many continue to regret.
The bottom line is, the herd mentality is human nature and it’s normal to feel emotions like excitement and panic. We just shouldn’t make financial decisions based on them.
That’s where having Craig by your side comes in. He remains calm and focused on the long-term, immune to industry bubbles and media hype.
We believe that when you really get to know the people whose money you are managing, the decisions you make are very different.
This personal connection is what makes us work tirelessly to protect and nurture the very foundation of our investors lives, their wealth.
It has to be a relationship
From individual money managers to large institutions, finance has become dangerously formulated and quite frankly a little too lazy and complacent.
We live in an increasingly volatile and complex world, yet the ones in change of our money seem more and more disconnected and impersonal.
I created Kelley Investments as an advocate for investors, a modern alternative to “faceless finance”.
Gone are the generic self-serving products and impersonal solutions.
I believe that for wealth management to be effective, it has to be a relationship, not a transaction.
Craig P. Kelley, CIMA®, CPWA® is a Private Wealth Manager and the Managing Member of KELLEY Investments, LLC. Craig helps families and business owners organize, plan, and manage all aspects of their wealth as they progress through the life cycle of wealth: Accumulation, Preservation, and Distribution.
Craig helps his clients save time and reduce stress by simplifying complex financial situations, and by implementing specific strategies to maximize growth, minimize taxes, monetize and protect assets, generate income, and transfer wealth.
Managing money today often requires the targeted skills of a variety of professionals.
Craig acts as his client’s team leader, their main point of contact who puts all of the pieces of the Investment and Wealth Management puzzles together. As team leader, Craig works collaboratively with his clients’ accountants, attorneys, and other advisors to structure and implement the best solutions for his clients’ unique needs.
When it comes to managing investments, Craig’s strategy reflects his personality and his philosophy of life. For him life and investing are about discipline.
He remains calm and focused on the long-term, immune to industry bubbles, media hype, and the temptations of investing for the quick and easy buck.
He conducts a constant and careful analysis of national and international events. He follows economic trends and invests in sound companies with little debt, good markets, sound products, and few competitors.
Craig’s insights come from a sophisticated understanding of major trends shaping our world, and from an in-depth understanding of particular investments such as exchange-traded funds (ETF’s), actively managed funds, stocks, bonds, hedge funds, and real estate – not just what they are designed to do, but the real innards of the products and how they actually work under widely varying conditions.
Craig understands the power of psychology and gets to know his investors. He takes time to understand their risk tolerance and their financial needs, now and in the future. Combining his understanding of each investor’s personality and investments, he fine-tunes their portfolio so it matches their goals and risk profile.
If you’re the type of investor who actively trades, or is looking to get rich quick, you probably won’t invest with Craig. But if you’re someone who appreciates a good value, wants to own solid well-researched investments to plan for your future, Craig is your man.
Consistent appreciation with no huge losses is his investment strategy and his philosophy in life.
Married for over twenty-five years with a son in business school and a daughter working in film in San Francisco, Craig believes in discipline, moderation, hard work, and values.
This may sound old fashioned, but it’s the way that he’s made his client’s money in the past, and the way he’s avoided big losses in the recent turmoil.
