The bottom line is, the herd mentality is human nature and it’s normal to feel emotions like excitement and panic. We just shouldn’t make financial decisions based on them.

We live in an increasingly volatile and complex world, yet the ones in change of our money seem more and more disconnected and impersonal.
I created Kelley Investments as an advocate for investors, a modern alternative to “faceless finance”.
Gone are the generic self-serving products and impersonal solutions.
I believe that for wealth management to be effective, it has to be a relationship, not a transaction.
Craig P. Kelley
Craig Kelley, CIMA®, CPWA® is a Wealth Manager who helps his clients organize, plan, and make wise decisions with their money. He structures and implements solutions that will save time, reduce stress and simplify their financial lives.
Craig spends the time to really understand his investors, their tolerance for risk and their financial needs. Combining his understanding of each investor’s personality and investments, he fine-tunes their Portfolio so it matches their goals and risk profile.
When it comes to managing investments, Craig’s approach reflects his personality and his philosophy of life. For him life and investing are about remaining steady and disciplined. He remains calm and focused on the long-term, immune to industry bubbles, media hype, and the temptations of investing for the quick and easy buck.
“Consistent appreciation with no huge losses” is his investment strategy and his philosophy in life.
Married for over thirty years with a son working for Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in Chicago, and a daughter working for Skywalker Sound in San Francisco, Craig believes in discipline, moderation, hard work, and values.
This may sound old fashioned, but it’s the way that he’s made his client’s money in the past, and the way he’s avoided big losses in the recent turmoil.
Craig has more than thirty years of experience, starting his career right out of business school. Craig worked at Merrill Lynch, PaineWebber and Kidder Peabody prior to starting Kelley Investments.
Graduated from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State with a BS in Finance.
An SEC Registered Investment Advisor, Craig also holds a Series 7 General Securities license and a California Insurance License #0A11071.
Earned the Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®) certification taught in conjunction with the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) certification taught in conjunction with the Yale School of Management.
Born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, Craig moved to Del Mar, California, in 1984 where he lives with his wife Caren, the owner of Equestrian Real Estate (www.equestrianre.com). When Craig’s not managing money, he’s likely surfing or enjoying the beach.
Sean O’Hara is the President of Keystone Investment Advisors, Inc., a consulting firm that provides third-party consultation and administrative services.
Through Keystone, Sean provides Kelley Investments consultation and assistance with internal management functions including data security, systems operations, research, portfolio construction and trading and other administrative functions.
More than fifteen years starting in 1997 in the Private Client Division at Merrill Lynch in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Sean was then an associate with LPL Financial Services in San Diego prior to founding Keystone Investment Advisors, Inc.
Sean is an Investment Advisor Representative of KELLEY Investments.
Graduated from the University of Pittsburgh CGS in 1998 with a BS in Economics.
Raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and has lived in San Diego since 1998. When he’s not working, he’s likely jumping a horse or teaching someone how to fly an airplane.
